What an amazing adventure we had in South America! Our tours during the last six weeks brought us to Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Peru, and Bolivia... impossible to say which we enjoyed most...
Highlights included - an authentic tango show in Buenos Aires;
- a day trip to the 17th century jewel of Colonia, Uruguay, an hour's boat ride from Buenos Aires;
- the fabulous views of Rio from Corcovado and Sugar Loaf;
- watching with awe the Giant Andean condors - ten-foot wingspans - riding the morning thermals in the two-mile-deep Colca Canyon;
- meandering among the ruins of Peru's star attraction, Machu Picchu;
- and exploring the streets of Cuzco, former capital of the Incan Empire and at roughly 13,000 feet, one of the highest cities in the world. Can't wait to see all my photos when they come back (I still shoot the old fashioned way, with a 35 mm Nikon).
We're now preparing for an unbelievably exciting 2007. What with putting the finishing touches on all of our fab tours next year (to ten of the most world's amazing destinations) and working feverishly to finish work on our new web site (hopefully launched within the week), we've hit the ground running since our return to the States.
