Abu Dhabi, UAE

Today we visited Abu Dhabi, a couple of hours drive from Dubai.  Like Dubai, it is undergoing monumental growth.  Everything is new!  But unlike its glitzy neighbor to the south, Abu Dhabi is all about oil and banking, and doesn't share Dubai's appeal.  In fact, it seems utterly without character.  But the scale of the modernity is impressive.
