Doha, Qatar






Yesterday afternoon we arrived in Doha, the capital of pint-sized Qatar (pronounced "cutter")  Our hotel, the Four Seasons is beautiful, with superb views of the Gulf.  The hotel very kindly offered us a magnificent room (apartment, really) called the State Suite.  We decided to enjoy a quiet New Year's dinner in the room, gazing out at the floodlit waters far below.
