Doha, Qatar

John and I spent the day touring Qatar.  It is immaculate and ultra-modern.  It is also rich - staggeringly so.  In fact, according to a Four Seasons staffer, 12,000 Qataris, equal to six percent of Qatar's 200,000 citizens, possess assets of ten million dollars or more.

Our favorite part of Qatar has been the enchanting soukh.  Here one can relax whiling away hours like the locals do: peoplewatching, sipping thimblefuls of strong coffee and puffing a houkah.
