Our Brazilian tour began yesterday, and already our group is getting into the local swing of things. This morning we visited the gargantuan statue atop Corcovado, and then took the gondola to the top of Sugar Loaf to admire the stupendous views. After the sightseeing, we feasted on the incredible seafood at Marius Crustacean, but made sure to leave a tiny bit of room for the frothy chocolate mousse and incredible lime meringue pie. A welcome siesta followed lunch! This evening we enjoyed the performance of Samba and Bossa Nova music by local musicians while savoring delicious, tangy caipirinhas, the national drink of Brazil. Tomorrow we plan to take a tour of Guanabara Bay.
