London, England

We've now been almost a week in London, our first stop on a 3.5 month African and European odyssey. The weather's been incredible, and the whole city's outdoors. Our apartment is located only a few blocks from London Bridge tube station, which is convenient to more or less everything.

We've been busy on final preparations on the African portion of our itinerary (which begins tomorrow), as we're likely to lack internet access for some of the next three weeks (in Kenya, Zanzibar, mainland Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda).  However, we've managed to get out and enjoy a few outings here, visiting the fun Borough Market, a couple of local pubs... and Harvey Nichols for a proper afternoon tea.  If we accomplish eough today, we'll shoot for a night on the town with a show and perhaps a taste of the nightlife for which London is so justly famous.

We leave early in the morning to catch our flight to Nairobi, Kenya... more news soon!
